Return Details

Returns to original departure point
The Palace and Gardens of Versailles are one of the most popular day trips from Paris, and the famous attraction is close enough to the city to make it a great day trip option – but figuring out train schedules or worrying about taxi meters can make an easy excursion stressful. Skip all that hassle with a round-trip transfer by luxury bus booked in advance.

Depart central Paris in the early afternoon and relax on the 45-minute drive from Paris to Versailles. Let your professional driver navigate busy city traffic and French road signs while you take in the scenery.

Upon arrival, you'll be dropped off outside the Palace of Versailles, and you'll have roughly half a day or a full day to explore on your own (actual time varies slightly depending on travel time). Visit the opulent palace, the expansive gardens behind it and even the town of Versailles itself.

At the conclusion of your visit, meet your driver at a prearranged location and climb back into the coach for the return trip to Paris. The drive back into the city should also be roughly 45 minutes long, meaning you'll get back to Paris in the early evening.

Please note: An admission ticket to the Palace and Gardens of Versailles is NOT included with this transfer service. You will need to purchase your own ticket, either in advance or at the ticket window directly. Note that at peak times, there is often a long queue to enter the palace.

Great experience

Very easy to access pick up near the Eiffel Tower. A smaller bus with only a few other tourists and very comfortable. We booked an entire day trip (just the passage since we bought tickets to Versailles separately)and it was well worth it. The guide on the bus showed us exactly where to meet at the end of the day and everything went smooth!

This is a great option to take to Versailles instead of the train. The price was reasonable as well.

The bus was very comfortable and air conditioned, was able to fit my backpack on the shelf above my seat as well. The driver was very friendly and on the way back waited for us as we couldn't find a taxi so we were late. We were very grateful.

We used Viator to book transportation to Versailles. City Tours was great, especially Paola the guide. She was very helpful!

Pro's: 1. The tour guide and narrative were above average. 2. The journey was comfortable and on-time. Con's: 1. A luxury Bus connotes a restroom - our bus had no restroom. 2. The description of the Paris departure point was vague at best.

Great way to out to the Palace without the worry of traffic, and it is a nightmare. We only used the shuttle service but you can do the guided tour but we wanted to see it all at our own pace.

Very easy way to get to Versailles for days when the train isn't running. Comfy bus with a glass top so you get great views as you are traveling outside of the city.

Lots of guests arguing with this...

Lots of guests arguing with this tour company when I went to their office. Seems like they're not doing so well. They seemed organized aside from the fact of holding up a line, giving miscommunication, and refusing to re-accomodating you if there's an issue on their part.... I would not recommend. It's 7 euros to take the train from the Effil tower, which is just as nice to Versailles - do that instead.
