  • The tour departs at 10:00 am (meet strictly at 9:45 am).
  • There is a limit of 16 people per guide, although transportation will be shared with other groups.
  • Please note that we reserve the right to modify itinerary if considered necessary. Please notify us if you are interested in hearing the boys' choir during this experience.
  • Please note that the Boys’ Choir doesn’t perform on Saturdays, school holidays and several other dates throughout the year.
  • We work daily with different low-production, family-owned boutique wineries. Due to logistic reasons, you might visit another cellar instead of Oller del Mas.
  • Comfortable clothes and shoes are recommended as there is some walking involved.
  • Temperatures in Montserrat and the winery tend to be more extreme than in Barcelona. Please check the weather forecast the day before and dress accordingly.
  • Infants aged 3 or less may join the tour free of charge, but note that no car seat or meals are provided.

We had a great time on this excursion and felt like it was the perfect amount of time. Jordi was a great guide and gave us about a 1 hour guided tour of the monastery when we got there. Then we had plenty of free time at Montserrat to hike to the cross and back, explore the market, do the liquor tasting and see the boys choir sing. The winery afterwards was amazing, the lunch was great, and we had time to relax at the winery before driving back to the city. The winery added another local element to the trip that we loved. It was fun to see something outside the city on our trip. We got back to Barcelona right at 7pm.

 We see you chose the full day tour, our longest tour that starts at 8.45 am and finishes, as you well said, around 7 pm. This tour is the one with more free in Montserrat, more than 2.5 hours! And it looks like you made the most out of it! In order to make sure you enjoy that time at its best, it is always a good idea to ask your guide for recommendations. Hiking and enjoying the views, tasting the farmers’ cheeses, sampling the Montserrat liquors, listening to the choir, exploring the basilica, visiting he museum… There are so many amazing things to do in this mountain! After some time wandering by Montserrat, the full day tour includes a three-course meal in a nearby restaurant (with wine). We’re happy to read you liked it so much! The menu changes from time to time as it is prepared with local and seasonable products, but it is always delicious :) Remember to leave some room for the wine after lunch! The guided visit to the cellar and the wine tasting are the frost to the cake! The wine experience is meant to be informative and explanatory, but it is especially meant to be relaxed, joyful and fun! A beautiful trip. There is a serenity and beauty surrounding the mountains that gets to you. Had enough time to explore the church, the trail and the museum. The lunch was sumptuous and wine tasting was definitely a plus. Our guide Max made it all special. Will Highly recommend.

Did some research on day tours from Barcelona and came across this tour. In short: please go! It was a lot of fun, Max, our tour guide was very informative and brings a fresh, yet intriguing perspective to this tour. I admit I’m not much of a wine person for the last stop of the tour, but Max saved the day, and actually changed my mind about wine to give it a chance. He’s very informative on tips and tricks and makes wine seem less like a dazzling puzzle to me. As for Montserrat itself, it goes without saying really. I love the architecture and geology behind it all. The little stories and anecdotes, facts and fables aid to this experience. Also: please bring double the clothes you think you’ll need. While I have a high tolerance for extreme temperature changes, not many do. They really do mean it that the temperature can change rapidly in even 1 minute.

Dani was our guide and he was knowledgable, funny and kind. It was easy to find our group (pink umbrella in front of the Hard Rock), we were all introduced to each other (12 total in our group) and grouped onto comfortable busses. Dani gave us a tour of Monserrat, leaving us with plenty of options and ideas to enjoy a couple hours individually. Afterward, we bussed to lunch (the duck was delicious), then to the wine tour at the Oller Del Mas winery. Dani was enthusiastic and knowledgable about the wine making process and the tasting itself. Then we bussed back to Hard Rock. We had a great time and would do it again!

We believe it is very important that every single part of the tour is as great as possible, transportation included! All our buses are pretty new, spacious and comfortable! Depending on the tour there is more or less free time in Montserrat so everyone can discover the place on their own. Full day tours include more than 2 hours of free time, and half days around 1-1,5 hours. There are many things to see in this mountain, and the guides know all of them better than anyone! So don’t hesitate and ask them for advice to make the most out of your free time :) The full day tour includes a three-course meal in a restaurant right before the tasting. We’re very happy you enjoyed the duck so much! The menu changes depending on the season because the lunch is prepared with local and seasonable products. But what doesn’t change is the will to offer a great gastronomical experience :) And last, but not least, it is time to taste the wiiiine! We’re very happy to read you’d repeat the experience!
