Mediterranean Cooking Class in Barcelona

This was a wonderful class. Damon and Gretel were wonderful teachers and made the whole experience really fun and enjoyable. The trip to the market was fascinating and learning some of the history made it even more interesting. The actual cooking portion of the class was great. Everyone had a chance to contribute and Damon and Gretel made it easy to follow as they demonstrated and explained the various techniques. It was a great experience.

The chef & his daughter were wonderful in teaching us the art of preparing paella. Highly recommend this experience.

My cooking class experience with was pure pleasure! This was not my first time in Barcelona, and I've certainly been to La Boqueria a few times! But it sure was very informative, interesting, and enlightening to hear (and taste) things from the locals! The facility where the cooking class was just beyond what I had expected! It was like walking in to a warm and cozy home with a gourmet kitchen! Hands-on prep work and cooking (you're not just a spectator)! There were appetizers and wine choices to try before, during, and after cooking! Then, when all the work is done, you get to dine in style! This experience was icing on the cake as far as my Barcelona trip is concerned!

Just marvelous! The whole learning experience and understanding the background of Spain through food and wine was fantastic. I highly recommend this cooking experience to anyone who wants to understand Spanish cuisine.

Everyone should take home a taste of Barcelona, and this class is the perfect way to do it. Chef Alfredo and assistant Theresa were informative and entertaining. You get to meet fellow cooks in a great environment and bring home some great recipes and memories.

This was so enjoyable and fun to cook with the guide and chef. The food prep was fun and tasty as were the tapas and wine. My only suggestion is that it be advised on the website that to participate in the cooking class one must be able to easily climb three flights of stairs. I do have knee problems and had to struggle to get up the stairs, but had already booked and paid for the event.

This cooking class was full of great tips, great food and many laughs. Our host was very informative and taught us all many different techniques. Was a great class. Thoroughly enjoyed it

We booked this class with the sole goal to learn how to make paella. It was so much more though. Gretel took us to the market (iI you do this tour, book the market option, It's awesome!) and showed us some history, as well as some practical food buying skills. Once we got back, Chef Alfredo had an array of different tapas from around Spain for us to try. Him and Gretel explained the origins of each, and let us eat them, we moved on to the actual class. Alfredo delegated different tasks to everyone in the class, and slowly taught us to make three different Spanish course (including paella). With the wine flowing, everyone had a great time and we all made friends with one another. When all of the dishes were done, we sat down at a beautiful table and enjoyed them. Overall, between the food, learning, and great people, I'd suggest this class for anyone that is cooking inclined!
