KBr Fundación MAPFRE is an exhibition project that focuses on photography, as a form of language for future generations and to contribute to the international projection of creativity and cultural dynamism in Barcelona. The name KBr Fundación MAPFRE Barcelona refers to the chemical formula of potassium bromide, a nod to development in analog photography and a declaration of intentions from the institution's line, committed to the recovery of tradition and masters of photography, but also with contemporaneity. This new veneu of 1,400 m2 center is located at the foot of the iconic Mapfre Tower, on Avenida Litoral, with two exhibition rooms, a workshop space, an auditorium and a bookstore. Currently (OCT 2020- JAN 2021) open with two exhibitions that inaugurate the space: Bill Brand and Paul Strand.
